About Mike Ralff:
All in all, I feel really blessed when I think about playing the bass. Blessed that I have all the senses needed to play the instrument in the first place. Blessed that I had a family that valued music; to listen to, to enjoy, to dream with. Blessed that I had teachers who not only taught me how to play the instrument, but to bring out who I am while playing. Blessed that there were bands that wanted me to play with them, to learn from them. I've had a lot of fun, seen a lot of beautiful places, met many wonderful people.
Blessed that I've had the good fortune to play musicals like Jesus Christ Superstar (twice), West Side Story, Les Miserables, Fiddler on the Roof, Tommy, The Producers, She Loves Me, Carousel, Annie, and several others. Also, I've been blessed to work with such luminaries as Joel Gray, Sandy Duncan, Nell Carter, Red Buttons, Robert Kline, Bill Anderson, Bobby Vinton and many lesser known, but still talented entertainers.
I've been playing professionally for 30 years, and I've decided to make a website to share some of those experiences with all of you. I will also note upcoming gigs of mine, and some gigs of some friends. I hope you enjoy what I've put on this site, and if you have any questions or comments, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks for visiting!
